The key goals are:

  • Strengthen clinical application of DBT

  • Increase fidelity to DBT principles

  • Learn how to use the DBT team as an integral part of DBT treatment

Licensed therapists and associates are welcome. Group will meet monthly for 6 sessions. Start date will be last week of February (Time and day TBD). Cost is $80 per group session

TWO. DBT Training Team led by Johnna Pilipchuk.

β€œFor those of you who don't know me, I have been a DBT therapist for over thirty years. I've provided individual DBT therapy to adults and teens, taught adult and adolescent/parent skills classes, and I've led and participated in DBT Consultation Teams. I most recently taught DBT Skillz for Therapists along with John Mader, LMFT. I completed my DBT Intensive with a team in 2011 and we are still meeting to this day. I am excited to offer a DBT Training Consultation Team that will meet the third Wednesday of the month for ten months beginning February 18, 2026.”

If you aren't familiar with a DBT Training Consultation team, it is a DBT Consultation Team for therapists who have not completed a DBT Intensive Training and want to learn more about applying the therapy adherently in their own practice. Practicing Linehan-adherent DBT requires that a therapist be part of a consultation team in order to provide consultation and self-care for the therapist.

A therapist is appropriate for this team if you:

  • want a thorough overview of adherent DBT

  • attended some DBT skills training classes

  • attended a workshop on DBT therapy

  • are familiar with DBT and want to send individual clients to a DBT Skills Class

  • are a student and want to dive deeper into DBT therapy

  • would like to learn along with other therapists and share consultation

This team will be structured very much like a standard consultation team, but with a focus on learning the therapy as well as applying it. We will use the text, Doing Dialectical Behavior Therapy: A Practical Guide by Kelly Koerner. Each session will also include case consultation.

Team will meet on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM on my professional version of Zoom. Meeting dates are: February 18, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15, August 19, September 16, October 21, November 18 The cost of the team is $80/meeting. If you pay for the entire ten sessions on or before February 18, the total will be $750 (a savings of $50).
